The Seattle Sounders walked away from Dick's Sporting Goods Park empty-handed on Saturday in a 3-1 loss to the Colorado Rapids, but the silver lining to the night was rookie Jordan Morris' goal.
Morris connected with a cross from Cristian Roldan in the 63rd minute at the top of the box, maneuvered past defender Mekeil Williams and fired off a shot to the back post, putting Seattle within one goal with time left in the match.
The goal, Morris' second in as many games, is up for AT&T MLS Goal of the Week. Thanks to the new bracket-format voting this season, the goal is pitted against Kevin Doyle's late volley, which ultimately sealed the win for the Rapids.
