Seattle Police Department officer injured in Sounders championship march doing well

The Seattle Police Department officer who was pinned underneath a trolley carrying the Seattle Sounders during their championship march on Tuesday is doing well while undergoing treatment.

According to police, he sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman toldThe Seattle Times on Wednesday. There are currently no further updates available.

Sounders head coach Brian Schmetzer and defender Zach Scott visited the officer on Wednesday to check in on him and brought along the MLS Cup trophy.
