- Due to injuries and international call-ups, Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes seven changes to the Starting XI from the 4-3 victory over the LA Galaxy in Week 26. Goalkeeper Stefan Frei, midfielder Nicolás Lodeiro and defenders Kim Kee-hee and Saad Abdul-Salaam are the only holdovers.
- Tacoma Defiance players Nick Hinds and Shandon Hopeau, who were added to the roster yesterday under the Extreme Hardship rule, make the bench.
- With Joevin Jones, Brad Smith and Nouhou all away on international duty, right back Saad Abdul-Salaam slides over to the left.
- Justin Dhillon makes his third MLS start at striker, while Luis Silva makes his second start for the Rave Green, lining up as an attacking midfielder. Additionally, new signing Emanuel Cecchini makes his full debut for the Sounders.
