Seattle Sounders vs. New York Red Bulls starting lineup: Ozzie Alonso returns to XI, Sounders to operate 5-4-1 formation

The Seattle Sounders are taking on the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday (5 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM). Here is the Delta Starting XI:

NOTES:

• Head Coach Brian Schmetzer has organized his team in a 5-4-1 formation, with center backs Kim Kee-hee, Chad Marshall and Tony Alfaro all starting in front of goalkeeper Stefan Frei.
• Jordan McCrary starts at right back for the injured Kelvin Leerdam, while Waylon Francis receives the nod at left back.
• Captain Osvaldo Alonso makes his first start for Sounders FC since May 5 at Columbus, having appeared as a sub over the weekend vs. D.C. United, while midfielder Víctor Rodríguez starts for the second consecutive match after returning from a knee injury that kept him out of the first 10 games of the season.
• Forward Clint Dempsey and midfielder Magnus Wolff Eikrem, who scored in the winner vs. D.C. United on Saturday, are both healthy and available as substitutes this evening.
