LINEUP NOTES:
- Coming on as a substitute in the last two matches after returning from injury, Will Bruin gets the nod for his first start of the 2022 campaign.
- Goalkeeper Stefan Cleveland also makes his first start of the year in place of Stefan Frei, who misses the match with injury. Cleveland started 15 regular-season matches in 2021.
- Midfielder Josh Atencio, 20, makes the matchday roster for the first time this year after recovering from injury. The Homegrown Player started 18 matches last year, with six additional appearances as a substitute, and tallied two assists.
- Frei (R quad tendinitis), Yeimar (R high ankle sprain), Nicolás Lodeiro (Health & Safety Protocols), Jimmy Medranda (L hamstring strain), Raúl Ruidíaz (R hamstring strain), and Andrew Thomas (R calf strain) are all out for tonight’s match due to injury.
- Due to injuries to Frei and Thomas, Tacoma Defiance goalkeeper Wallis Lapsley is on the bench today via a Short Term Agreement, with Sounders FC qualifying for Extreme Hardship.
