The Seattle Sounders are visiting Liga MX’s Cruz Azul on Tuesday in the second leg of their Round of 16 home-and-home series in the Concacaf Champions Cup. Here is everything you need to know:

WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 5:30 p.m. PT at Estadio Olímpico Universitario.

WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch on FS1, TUDN and ViX+.

CCC: The 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup is a 27-team continental tournament that grants a spot in the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2025 FIFA Intercontinental Cup. The single-match final will be held on June 1.

CCC FORMAT: The Sounders are one of 10 Major League Soccer clubs participating in this year’s edition of the tournament. 22 of the 27 teams begin play in Round One, with five clubs receiving a bye into the Round of 16. The full bracket can be found here.

WHAT’S AT STAKE: The winner of this series will take on the winner of Club América-Chivas in the quarterfinals.

LEG ONE RESULT: The Sounders battled Cruz Azul to a 0-0 draw at Lumen Field last week. The Rave Green largely controlled the match and created several quality scoring opportunities, but were unable to break the deadlock.

HOW SEATTLE ADVANCES: The Sounders will move on to the CCC quarterfinals with a win. If the match ends in a non-scoreless draw, Seattle would also advance due to the away goals tiebreaker. A scoreless draw would send the match to extra time, while any type of loss would eliminate the Rave Green from the tournament.

CURRENT FORM: Seattle and Cruz Azul have each played one league match since last week's CCC fixture. The Sounders secured a 5-2 victory over Western Conference powerhouse LAFC, while Cruz Azul battled fellow Liga MX giants Monterrey to a 1-1 draw.

CATHARTIC WIN: Seattle has shown flashes of elite attacking potential through the opening weeks of the 2025 campaign. Saturday night's high-scoring win over an LAFC side that had pitched four straight shutouts showed just how explosive this offense can be, with five different players finding the back of the net.

MORRIS MAKES HISTORY: Jordan Morris scored his 87th career goal for the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, making him the club's all-time leading scorer across all competitions. It was a storybook moment for Morris as he etched his name in the record books for his hometown club.

STRENGTH IN DEPTH: Seattle has already played six matches across all competitions through the first three weeks of the season. That fixture congestion has required plenty of squad rotation from Head Coach Brian Schmetzer. Players up and down the roster have stepped up to the occasion, with 11 players posting at least one goal or one assist thus far.

FOND MEMORIES: The last time the Sounders visited Estadio Olímpico Universitario was Leg One of the Concacaf Champions League Final against Pumas UNAM back in 2022. The Rave Green erased a two-goal deficit late in the match to carry 2-2 scoreline into the second leg. Seattle eventually won Leg Two 3-0 at Lumen Field one week later, becoming the first MLS club to win CCL and qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup.

UNBEATEN STREAK: Following last week's draw against Cruz Azul, the Sounders are currently riding a 13-match unbeaten run in CCC play (6-0-7).
