- Head Coach Brian Schmetzer makes eight changes from the Sounders 5-2 win over LAFC with Stefan Frei, Nouhou, Alex Roldan, Obed Vargas, Cristian Roldan, Albert Rusnák, Paul Arriola and Jordan Morris replacing Andrew Thomas, Jonathan Bell, Kalani Kossa-Rienzi, João Paulo, Danny Leyva, Paul Rothrock, Danny Musovski and Pedro de la Vega
- The Sounders will move on to the CCC quarterfinals with a win. If the match ends in a non-scoreless draw, Seattle would also advance due to the away goals tiebreaker. A scoreless draw would send the match to extra time, while any type of loss would eliminate the Rave Green from the tournament.
- The winner of the two-leg Round of 16 series will play the winner of the Club America-Chivas de Guadalajara series, with leg two being played tomorrow in Mexico City. Guadalajara leads the series on aggregate 1-0.
