Karma...it's a crazy thing.
This year, the Sounders are using all the good karma they can as the playoffs begin to help the club stay on a positive wavelength throughout.
Centered around the club's supporters performing good deeds to generate this 'Good Playoff Karma', the movement will reach the team and spur them on as it quests for its first ever MLS Cup title. Already buoyed by a fabulous regular season, which included a U.S. Open Cup title and a Supporters' Shield, having even more favorable vibes will surely be the difference in the playoffs.
"Doing good deeds is always something special and something you want to do all throughout the year" said Sounders head coach Sigi Schmid. "Right now, while we're trying to create good karma for the Sounders as well, then doing good deeds and creating good karma - what could be better?"
Using the #GoodPlayoffKarma hashtag, supporters are encouraged to share their good deeds. They'll be aggregated on the www.GoodPlayoffKarma.com homepage, which will include various club events and initiatives to aide in pushing the movement forward. Whether it's helping someone cross a busy street, picking up litter (like our friend Chad below) or driving your little sister to ballet, it'll all help the Sounders!
It's not just the fans that will be chipping in though...the Sounders partners have all joined together and over the course of the postseason run there will be numerous events and giveaways with the goal of keeping the mojo a distinctly Rave Green color all the way to the MLS Cup Final on December 7th.
