For most MLS players, a return to the pitch after a two month stint recovering from an injury is reason enough to celebrate.
Obafemi Martins isn’t just your run of the mill MLS player, though.
On Sunday afternoon, Seattle Sounders No. 9 reminded everyone why he’s nicknamed the Goal Machine, scoring not one but two goals in his comeback match, after missing 10 matches across all competitions. His magnificent day earned him not only a spot on the MLS Team of the Week, but also a nod for AT&T Goal of the Week.

Our friends over at Major League Soccer had a tough decision this week, with two stunning ObaGoals to choose from. They ultimately settled on his opening goal from the 17th minute. With a bit of fancy footwork, Martins stays on his toes before dribbling past the Orlando defense and burying one in the back of the net past Gig Harbor native Tally Hall.
My oh my, have we missed seeing things like this. Give the goal a watch and head over to MLSsoccer.com to cast your vote. Remember, the polls close on Thursday at 11:59 p.m. PT.
