Major League Soccer nominated Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris and midfielder Osvaldo Alonso for Goal of the Week after their fantastic finishes in the Sounders’ 4-2 win over the LA Galaxy on Sunday, and they’ve each moved on to the next round.
Morris and Alonso defeated the Houston Dynamo’s Mauro Manotas and New York City FC’s David Villa, respectively. Morris takes on the Philadelphia Union’s Alejandro Bedoya in the next round, while Alonso battles the Colorado Rapids’ Shkelzen Gashi.
