Major League Soccer on Monday named Seattle Sounders midfielder Cristian Roldan to the Week 19 Team of the Week for his efforts in a 2-1 win over Atlanta United on Sunday.
Roldan started his first match since June 1 after missing the last four games while away with the United States competing in the Concacaf Gold Cup. He assisted on Raúl RuidÃaz’s highlight-reel goal and was a force in the middle of the park. Roldan completed 94.5 percent of his passes, including 93.3 percent in Atlanta’s half of the field, had 74 touches, five recoveries and a team-high four tackles.
