Major League Soccer on Monday named Seattle Sounders named Seattle Sounders winger Jordan Morris to the Week 30 MLS Team of the Week bench for his strong performance in the team’s 1-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday.
Playing his preferred left-wing position, Morris generated several dangerous looks at goal throughout the match, only to be rebuffed by Earthquakes goalkeeper Daniel Vega. His persistence paid off in the 94th minute, as he notched his 10th goal of the season to collect three massive points on the road.
The Sounders return to action on October 6 for their final regular season match of the year, taking on Minnesota United at CenturyLink Field (1:00 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, Univision-Seattle, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM | TICKETS).
