Sounders FC forward Victor Mansaray has been called into U.S. U-18 National Team camp in Marabella, Spain from December 11-20. The trip includes two matches against the U-18 German National Team on December 17 and 19.
Mansaray, 17, signed a Homegrown Player contract with Sounders FC on November 5 after playing with the Sounders FC Academy since the 2012-13 season. He helped the U.S. U-18 National Team to a 3-0-0 championship run at the International Tournament of Vaclav Jezek in the Czech Republic in August, making two appearances and logging 106 total minutes, including appearances in a 3-1 win over Hungary in the opener and a 1-0 win over Ukraine in the final.
This is the U-18 MNT’s fourth international trip of the year and seventh camp overall. Perez’s side is 4-6-1 in international competition in 2014.
