LA’s Record: The Galaxy is fifth in the Western Conference at 7-4-6 (27 points).
Head-To-Head: This is the first of three meetings between the two clubs in 2014. The other two will come over the final two weeks of the season, with back-to-back matches on October 19 at the StubHub Center and October 25 at CenturyLink Field to close out the season.
All-Time Series: In MLS regular season player, LA leads 5-3-4 and is 8-4-4 when playoffs are included. Adding in the U.S. Open Cup narrows that deficit, though LA remains in the lead at 8-6-4.

Key Player: Robbie Keane had a slow start to the 2014 season by his gaudy standards, but has returned to form in the last two months. He has five goals and five assists in the last nine matches to bring his season totals to 10 goals and six assists in 16 matches. He has 44 goals and 27 assists since he arrived in MLS in August of 2011. Only Chris Wondolowski (53) has more goals and Mauro Rosales (35), Thiery Henry (31), Brad Davis (31), Graham Zusi (30) and Landon Donovan (28) have more assists in that span.
Notes: Sounders FC Head Coach Sigi Schmid has 199 career MLS victories, one away from becoming the first MLS coach to reach the 200-win milestone. … Of the 16 goals LA has allowed this season, 11 have come over the final 30 minutes. Meanwhile, Seattle has scored 18 of its league-best 35 goals in the final 30 minutes. … Seattle has a six-match winning streak at CenturyLink Field and has posted three consecutive shutouts at home. The total shutout streak totals 344 minutes, dating back to May 7. The six-match winning streak matches a club record for home dominance.
