Multiple Sounders FC Players Join Respective National Team Camps

SEATTLE, WASH.– With the 2022 MLS season concluded, multiple Sounders FC players have reported to their respective national team camps. Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan have joined the U.S. Men’s National Team for camp in Dallas, Texas, joining other MLS-based players in contention for the FIFA World Cup roster. Xavier Arreaga has already traveled to Ecuador for pre-World Cup camp. Nouhou is still training in Seattle, but is in active conversations with the Cameroon National Team on a report date. The four Sounders FC players are set to find out whether they will compete at the 2022 FIFA World Cup next month when final rosters are announced. Additionally, Danny Leyva has joined the U.S. Men’s U-20 National Team in Dallas for its final training camp of the year.

All countries competing in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar are required to submit their respective 26-player rosters by Sunday, November 13.

U.S. Soccer is hosting an exclusive roster reveal event at Brooklyn Steel in New York City on Wednesday, November 9 to announce the 26-player roster that will represent the United States in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The event is be carried exclusively on ESPN2 and live streamed on ESPN+ beginning at 2:00 p.m. PT.

Sounders FC finished the 2022 campaign with a 16-17-5 record across all competitions. The Rave Green became the first MLS side to win the Concacaf Champions League title in the spring, before a regular season that fell short of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time in the club’s 14-year history. Seattle heads into the offseason with its sights set on the 2023 campaign, which begins with the FIFA Club World Cup.
