Myron Samuel called up to play in World Cup Qualifiers

TUKWILA, Wash. – Seattle Sounders FC 2 forward Myron Samuel has been called up to represent his home country of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in World Cup Qualifiers early next month.


S2 head coach Ezra Hendrickson confirmed this week that Samuel is on the 23-man roster and left for camp early this week. The team faces off against the United States on Sept. 2 at home before traveling to Guatemala on Sept. 6.


Samuel has been a mainstay for S2 this season tallying three goals, and four assists in 19 appearances. He's expected to miss three games while with the Vincy Heat: Aug. 29 vs. Portland, Sept. 2 vs. Vancouver and Sept. 5 at Vancouver.
