Seattle Sounders midfielder Nicolás Lodeiro won Week 6 MLS Goal of the Week for his stunning game-winning volley against Real Salt Lake last Saturday.
Cristian Roldan played in a perfect cross to the far post for Lodeiro, who one-timed home the game’s only goal while falling backward.
Lodeiro earned 58 percent of the vote, with the Philadelphia Union’s Alejandro Bedoya coming in second with 17 percent. LAFC’s Diego Rossi and FC Dallas’ Reto Ziegler each earned nine percent, while the Chicago Fire’s CJ Sapong earned seven percent.
The Sounders return to action in Week 7 on Saturday at CenturyLink Field against Toronto FC (1 p.m. PT; JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM | TICKETS).
