Sounders FC Designated Player Obafemi Martins played 15 minutes with the Nigerian National Team in a 2-0 victory over Swaziland on Tuesday, helping the Super Eagles into the third round of qualifying in 2016.
Nigeria and Swaziland played to a scoreless draw on Friday, when Martins came on for the final 19 minutes of the match. On Tuesday, Martins subbed on for Ahmed Musa, who currently plays for Russian club CSKA Moscow, in the 75th minute.
The appearance was the 41st of Martins' international career and his fourth since appearing at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
