Seattle Sounders midfielder Gustav Svensson subbed on in the 68th minute on Saturday in Sweden’s 2-1 win over Romania in UEFA European Championship Qualifying at Friends Arena in Solna, Sweden.
Robin Quaison opened the scoring for the Blågult in the 33rd minute before Viktor Claesson doubled the advantage seven minutes later. Claudiu Keșerü pulled one back for Romania in the 58th minute.
Svensson replaced Emil Forsberg and played the final 22 minutes to help close out the victory. Sweden visits Norway on Tuesday, March 26, at 12:45 p.m. PT at Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.
