NOTES:
- New signee Jordy Delem makes his first Sounders appearance. A defensive midfielder by trade, Delem will start at right back for Oniel Fisher, who starts on the bench despite passing fitness tests this week while recovering from a hamstring injury.
- Jordan Morris starts at forward after recovering from ankle injury in the Sounders’ home-opening win against the New York Red Bulls two weeks ago. The United States national team called Morris into its camp ahead of recent World Cup Qualifying matches, but sent him home because of his injury.
- Internationals Nicolas Lodeiro and Joevin Jones start after World Cup Qualifying, while Clint Dempsey (U.S.) and Roman Torres (Panama) begin on the bench. Lodeiro dressed did not play in either match, while Jones, Dempsey and Torres each played 180 minutes.
- Chad Marshall was scheduled to start, but he is a late scratch due to illness. Tony Alfaro will start at center back for Marshall, while Nouhou Tolo slides into the 18-man roster for Alfaro.
