- New acquisition Héber makes his full debut as a Seattle Sounder after joining the club from New York City FC in the offseason.
- This marks the second competitive match for Seattle in 2023, with the club becoming the first-ever MLS team to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this month. Sounders FC fell to Egypt’s Al Ahly SC 1-0 on February 4 in Tangier, Morocco. European champion Real Madrid went on win the competition with a 5-3 result over Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal in the Final.
