FORM GUIDE (most recent first, MLS matches only): Seattle: LDDLW, OCSC: DLWWD

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders suffered a 3-2 defeat away to Orlando City SC last season. Seattle jumped out to a 2-0 lead courtesy of an Albert Rusnák free-kick golazo and a sweeping finish from Raúl Ruidíaz. The hosts scored three goals in the second half, including a late winner in stoppage time, to seal the win.

PRIDE MATCH: Saturday marks the club's annual Pride Match, presented by Starbucks, celebrating inclusion and the club's commitment to LGBTQ+ Equality. Special matchday activities include SoundCheck in Occidental Square Park pre-match, special musical performances, food trucks and free Pride-themed bags for the first 5,000 fans in attendance, courtesy of Starbucks. PROMISING PROSPECTS: Despite a disappointing result against LAFC in midweek action, the performances of young Homegrown Players Obed Vargas and Cody Baker were a bright spot for the Sounders. Operating as a box-to-box midfielder, the 17-year-old Vargas set up arguably Seattle's best chance of the match with his skilled dribbling and cross to Ruidíaz. He also completed 89.1 percent of his passes, including one key pass and five successful passes into the final third, and won two tackles.

Baker, 19, faced a difficult challenge in defending Denis Bouanga, who has 17 goals and eight assists in 23 matches across all competitions. Seattle's young right back kept the Gabon international relatively quiet all evening and was solid defensively throughout.

HOME FIELD DEFENDING: The Sounders have conceded just five goals at Lumen Field this season. The team is on pace for its best defensive home record since joining Major League Soccer in 2009.

ABSENCES: The Sounders will be without key contributors Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan, as the duo are representing the United States at the Concacaf Gold Cup. Additionally, right back Alex Roldan will be at the Gold Cup representing El Salvador. Defenders Xavier Arreaga (right quad strain) and Ethan Dobbelaere (right hamstring strain) and midfielder Sota Kitahara (right quad strain) all missed the LAFC match due to injuries.

SHARING THE WEALTH: Orlando City has four players with at least four goals this season, led by rookie forward Duncan McGuire with six tallies. Attacking midfielders Facundo Torres and Martin Ojeda have combined for nine goals and nine assists in league play.

ROAD WARRIORS: The Lions are tied with Minnesota United for second-most wins on the road this season (4) and are second in the league for points picked up away from home (14).
