The Earthquakes acquired goalscoring machine Chicho Arango from Real Salt Lake as well as MLS goalscoring legend Josef MartÃnez.

GENERATING CHANCES: San Jose is second in MLS with 11.69 Expected Goals through five matches, but it is underperforming its underlying numbers by nearly four full goals.
