The Seattle Sounders Academy will take a break from the closing rounds of the 2016-2017 US Soccer Development Academy regular season as they head to Frisco, Texas, for the 2017 Generation adidas Cup Finals.
The GA Cup is a U-17 tournament so the Sounders squad features a hybrid of the U-18s who are sitting just outside the playoff places and the U-16s who are comfortably in a playoff spot and pushing for tops in the division.
The Sounders have been drawn against clubs from three different nations and will face NYCFC, Deportivo Saprissa(Costa Rica) and Pumas UNAM(Mexico) in the Premier Division.
