BUENOS AIRES (Feb. 28) -- Seattle Sounders FC got a second-half goal from guest player Diego Ferrerya to earn a 1-1 tie with CenED Rosario at the Argentinos Juniors training grounds on Saturday afternoon.

Ferrerya, a midfielder who plays for local club Tigres, scored less than 8 minutes after coming on as a halftime substitute in left midfield. He finished a 15-yard shot into the upper left corner after taking a squaring pass from Fredy Montero. Stephen King started the sequence by feeding Montero the ball up the right side.

Making his debut in the Seattle central defense was Jhon Kennedy Hurtado. Hurtado, who arrived from Colombia on Wednesday, made several timely tackles in and around the Sounders FC box.

CenED Rosario tied the game in the 53rd minute on a penalty kick.

Chris Eylander played the entire 70 minutes in goal for Sounders FC. Eylander made a diving save to his left in the 16th minute and full-stretch stop to his right in the 63rd.

Seattle meets Velez Sarsfield in the third game of its Argentine tour on Monday morning.
