RENTON, Wash. – The Seattle Sounders FC invite fans, local businesses and area landmarks to display green lights on Thursday and Friday in support of the their Western Conference Semifinal match versus Real Salt Lake on Friday, November 2. Fans are also encouraged to wear green to work or school.
Beginning tomorrow through November 9, Sounders FC fans will receive half off regular admission at the Woodland Park Zoo by wearing a Sounders scarf or other Sounders apparel. The admission discount applies only to the child or adult wearing the Sounders sportswear and is not to be combined with other discounts or promotions. For more information, visit www.zoo.org.

Thursday, November 1
8-9 a.m. Sounders FC fans stage oversize “Scarves Up” banners at the west entrance of the Mt. Baker tunnel.
9:30 a.m. Woodland Park Zoo hosts kicking exhibition and scarves up celebration in honor of the Sounders FC playoff match. The line-up includes: 5-year-old donkey Rico; 6-month-old snow leopards Shanti and Asha and 7-year-old mom Helen; 18-year-old grizzly bears Keema and Denali; 2-year-old wolves Doba, Shila, Aponi and Kaya. The orangutan scarf team: 44-year-old Towan and Chinta, 41-year-old Melati, 31-year-old Belawan and 23-year-old Heran.
11 a.m.-1.p.m. A giant 30’ x 100’ Sounders FC scarf will fly along the I-5 corridor in Seattle and along the I-405 corridor between Renton and Kirkland.
11 a.m.-1.p.m. Sounders FC fans will distribute playoff information throughout downtown Seattle from Westlake to South Lake Union.
