Wednesday’s Sounders FC match in Colorado postponed due to inclement weather

Colorado Postponed

Major League Soccer today announced that Wednesday’s match between Seattle Sounders FC and the Colorado Rapids at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park has been postponed due to inclement weather. The safety of fans, players, coaches, referees and staff is of the utmost priority when evaluating these situations, and both clubs and MLS came to a collective agreement to not play the match on Wednesday, April 10.

Tonight’s match is being rescheduled for Saturday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m. PT when the game can be safely contested. Both clubs would like to offer a sincere apology to the dedicated fans from Colorado and Seattle that are inconvenienced by this situation.

Due to these circumstances, Sounders FC’s players and technical staff are returning to Seattle to prepare for Saturday’s match versus Toronto FC. Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. PT on April 13 at CenturyLink Field, with broadcast coverage being provided by JOEtv, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM.
