Oof — tough start to 2018 for Cristian Roldan. Well, at least in video games.
On Thursday, the Sounders star midfielder shared a facepalm-worthy video on Twitter from his match on EA SPORTS’ FIFA. Roldan, playing as FC Barcelona, was in a penalty-kick shootout against PSG. With a 3-1 lead, his goalkeeper, Stephané Ruffier, lined up against PSG's Daniel Podence (neither player actually plays for those teams in real life). What happens next, though ... you have to see for yourself.
It is unknown whether Roldan ended up pulling out the victory, but one thing is for certain: We know of a guy with a knack for making big penalty-kick stops. Maybe give Jordan Morris a try next time?
