We all know Clint Dempsey is one of the coolest guys around. He scores goals for club and country, is a self-proclaimed avid fisherman and always has time to be the family man to his four kids. It's no surprise that he's got legions of fans all around the country who are always pretty excited to see him when the Seattle Sounders roll into town. Now with Copa America Centenario just around the corner, his supporters are all suited up in Red, White and Blue and ready to cheer the forward on as he represents the good old U.S. of A.
One family of Dempsey super fans took their allegiance to a completely different level, though, and you can bet Deuce took notice. The Wickerham family welcomed a newborn on May 12 and snapped a family photo, with everyone turned around sporting Dempsey's USMNT #8 in last year's secondary kit. That wasn't it, though. The name of their newest addition? Dempsey Ada Wickerham. The family shared the story of how their baby got the unique name (spoiler alert: It certainly had something to do with the 2014 FIFA World Cup) on their blog.
The photo caught Clint's eye and he couldn't help but wish the family well.
Congrats, Wickerham family!
