2018 (Sounders FC 2): Prior to signing with the First Team, Chenkam was tied for the S2 team lead with four goals in nine appearances in 2018. He scored two of his four goals in a 3-2 win over Rio Grande Valley FC at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma (April 14), earning USL Team of the Week honors for his performance.
2017 (Sounders FC 2): In his first season with S2, Chenkam ranked second on the team with five goals in 19 appearances in USL play. He made his USL debut in a reserve role against Sacramento Republic FC (March 26) and was named to the USL Team of the Week in Week 6 after a two-goal effort in a 3-2 win over Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (April 29). He signed with S2 on March 22 after previously competing for Rainbow Bamenda FC in his native country of Cameroon.
Chenkam made three appearances for the Cameroon U-20 squad in the 2017 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Zambia.
Growing up, Chenkam’s favorite player was Samuel Eto’o. His favorite meal is chicken with tomato sauce and he enjoys playing tennis.
Chenkam signed with Sounders FC 2 on March 22, 2017 and was added to First Team Roster on May 25, 2018.
