PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2020 (Defiance): Scored two more goals during the 2020 season. The first came against his hometown team, the Las Vegas Lights in August. The second came in a 2-1 win against rival Portland Timbers 2 on September 27. Gonzalez totaled 16 appearances and seven starts.
2019 (Defiance): Gonzalez appeared in 18 matches for Tacoma during the 2019 campaign and netted another four goals, including two in a three-day stretch from October 17-20 against New Mexico United and Austin Bold, respectively. He ended the season with 1204 minutes.
2018 (S2): Scored his first professional goal against Rio Grande Valley FC, which was the match-winner (April 14). Gonzalez enjoyed a breakout campaign in 2018, leading the team with three assists and finishing fourth with three goals. He bagged his second goal of the campaign in a 3-1 road loss to San Antonio FC. The Academy alum then bagged a goal in the very next match, a 2-1 loss to Orange County SC (October 6).
2017 (S2): Gonzalez made his USL debut in a reserve role in a 3-2 home loss against San Antonio FC on April 25, 2017. He recorded his first professional assist in a 3-0 win over the LA Galaxy’s USL side on June 3 at Starfire Stadium. In January, Gonzalez joined the First Team during preseason.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
In October of 2016, Gonzalez played for the United States U-16 squad during a tournament in France. He also participated in the International Dream Cup, a tournament that took place in Japan in June 2017.
YOUTH EXPERIENCE
Since joining Sounders FC’s Academy when he was 13, Gonzalez shined at the youth level – oftentimes playing above his age group. He scored 11 goals in 19 appearances for Sounders FC U-16 this past season, while adding a goal in four matches for the U-18 side.
PERSONAL
The Las Vegas native joined Sounders FC Academy in 2014. His favorite players are Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, and his favorite thing about Seattle is the summertime weather.
