Early Tuesday morning, a new face joined the Rave Green, as the club announced the signing of Austrian midfielder Andreas Ivanschitz (pronounced ee-van-SHETZ).
With a wicked left foot and a commanding leadership on the field, the 31-year-old brings a bevy of international and domestic experience to Seattle (let's hope it counts as carry-on). The 2003 Austrian Footballer of the Year is set to join Sounders FC following 15 years playing top-notch European soccer, and with all that time, he has written quite the resume.
