For the fourth time this season, a Seattle Sounders player has been named to the MLS Team of the Week, and another joins him on the bench.
Defender Zach Scott's impressive performance on Saturday afternoon in the team's 1-0 win over Columbus Crew SC earned him the honor this week, his first of the season. Scott started in place of captain Brad Evans, who was serving a suspension after a red card on the road on Colorado. He completed 36 of 42 passes and held down the back line along side Chad Marshall. It was Scott's third start of the season.
Midfielder Osvaldo Alonso's solid shift earned him a spot on the bench. Alonso was named to Team of the Week on on April 4 following the team's 1-0 win over Montreal Impact.
