Once a Sounder, always a Sounder.
That mantra rings even truer for former Seattle Sounder Homegrown product DeAndre Yedlin, whose Newcastle United side won the EFL Championship this past weekend and earned a promotion to the English Premier League. The Seattle native unveiled a new tattoo on his right hand on Monday, one that features the state of Washington and a compass with “NW”.
Yedlin, 23, made 27 league appearances in his first season with Newcastle since joining the Magpies from Tottenham Hotspur. He spent the 2015-16 season on loan with Sunderland.
Yedlin made 56 appearances with the Sounders from 2013-14.
