Feb. 22 | Nicolás Lodeiro scores from distance at Santa Tecla in CONCACAF Champions League
Nicolás Lodeiro scored from long range in the 15th minute at El Salvador’s Santa Tecla in the first leg of the opening round of CONCACAF Champions League. Lodeiro chipped a one-timed shot from 40 yards out over the head of an out-of-position goalkeeper to stake the Sounders to an early lead.
Seattle lost 2-1 in the first leg, but took the series 5-2 on aggregate after a 4-0 win at CenturyLink Field a week later.
