Major League Soccer on Monday named Seattle Sounders defender Nouhou to the Week 21 Team of the Week for his stellar performance in a 1-0 win over the Houston Dynamo on Saturday.
Nouhou started his first match since July 3 on Saturday, putting in a stalwart defensive display as the team recorded a shutout and picked up three massive points on the road. The 22-year-old defender tallied one tackle, three interceptions, six clearances and four recoveries. Additionally, he completed 84.3 percent of his 51 pass attempts, including one key pass.
The Sounders return to action on Sunday when they host Sporting Kansas City at CenturyLink Field (7:00 p.m. PT; FS1, YouTube TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360AM | TICKETS)
