PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

2018 (Seattle): In his second season as a professional, Wingo continued to make strides with his hometown club. The Homegrown winger made five appearances in MLS regular season play, including one start in the home opener against LAFC (March 4), and featured in all four CONCACAF Champaions League matches. Building upon a strong debut season in USL play, Wingo once again played an important role for Sounders FC 2, tallying three goals and one assist in 891 minutes.  He also played all 120 minutes of Seattle’s lone Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match, a 2-1 loss to the Sacramento Republic (June 6).

2017 (Seattle): After a sterling three-year college career with the University of Washington, Wingo left school early and signed a Homegrown contract with Sounders FC. For the First Team, the Sounders Academy product made 11 appearances in the MLS regular season, and he made his playoff debut off the bench in the first leg of the Western Conference Championship against the Houston Dynamo (November 21). The midfielder appeared in both Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup matches for Seattle, as well as 12 USL games for Sounders FC 2, recording two goals and one assist.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

A three-year contributor at Washington, Wingo made 47 appearances for the Huskies, including 30 starts, from 2014-2016. He scored his first collegiate goal on October 12, 2014 during his freshman campaign, then added another in a 1-0 win against UCLA on November 3, 2016. In 2015, he was named to the NSCAA All-Far West Region Third Team.

PERSONAL

Wingo’s brother, Teddy, played college soccer at Vermont, as well as on the professional stage with Norway’s Stryn Fotball Klub. Wingo attended Shorecrest High School in Shoreline and played two seasons with Sounders FC Academy.
