WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. PT at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo.

WHERE TO WATCH: The match will be available to watch on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

WHERE TO LISTEN: The match will air in English on 950 KJR AM and in Spanish on El Rey 1360AM.

2023 RECORDS AND STANDINGS: Sounders: 11-9-9 (42 points, 3rd West), Rapids: 4-13-10 (22 points, 14thWest)

FORM GUIDE (all competitions, most recent first): Seattle: DDWDL, Colorado: WLLLL

PREVIOUS MEETING: The Sounders defeated the Rapids 4-0 at Lumen Field on Feb. 26 in the MLS season-opener. A brace from Jordan Morris led the way for Seattle, who also saw Cristian Roldan and Héber get on the score sheet.

UNBEATEN RUN: Seattle is on a four-match unbeaten streak, tied for its longest this season. Another result on Wednesday would be the longest since the club went on a 15-match run from late 2020 through July 2021.

ROLDAN RETURNS: Sounders engine Cristian Roldan made his first appearance since July 22 in Seattle’s 1-1 road draw at FC Dallas this past weekend. In order to make a deep postseason run, the Sounders will likely need the services of the 28-year-old, who has battled ongoing concussion issues this season.

BAKER-WHITING STEPS UP: With Nouhou returning after a trip with the Cameroon national team, Head Coach Brian Schmetzer turned to Reed Baker-Whiting at left back. The 18-year-old delivered in a massive way, recording his first MLS assist on a cross to Alex Roldan and earned MLS Team of the Matchday honors.

MORRIS MISMATCH: Morris has scored seven times in his career against the Rapids, including his brace earlier this season. The Homegrown winger has only scored more against the LA Galaxy in his MLS tenure.

HISTORICAL DOMINANCE: The Sounders have taken 24 of 36 all-time meetings between Seattle and Colorado. No team has recorded more wins against a single opponent than the Sounders have over the Rapids since Seattle joined MLS in 2009.

NEW COACH BUMP AND FAMILIAR FACE: On Sept. 5, the Rapids parted ways with Robin Fraser, who had been in charge since 2019. Colorado defeated the New England Revolution 2-1 in its first match under Interim Manager Chris Little, who was formerly Tacoma Defiance Head Coach and Sounders Academy Director of Coaching. The win was only Colorado’s second in its last 16 matches and the first since July 8.

GOALSCORING WOES: The Rapids enter Wednesday with the fewest goals scored in the league this season. Colorado has recorded just 18 goals through 27 matches, six fewer than any other team in MLS.
