ON A ROLL-DAN: Rookie Alex Roldan has made four consecutive starts in the midfield with his brother, Cristian.

60 SHUTOUTS: On Saturday, goalkeeper Stefan Frei registered his 60th career shutout in MLS regular season action, which ranks ninth in league history. He is second to Nick Rimando among active goalkeepers in clean sheets.

SLOW STARTS: The Sounders and the Reds have both started the 2018 MLS campaign at an uncharacteristic pace. Both clubs competed in CONCACAF Champions League this year, with Seattle reaching the quarterfinals and Toronto losing in the title game, which shifted each team's focus. Now there is catching up to do if there's going to a Seattle-Toronto final for the third consecutive season.

MOOR INJURIES: Toronto FC will be without defender Drew Moor after he suffered a quad tear last month. He joins defenders Justin Morrow, Eriq Zavaleta, Chris Mavinga and Nick Hagglund on the TFC injury report. Jozy Altidore could also miss action with a mild hamstring issue. In the mean time, midfielder Michael Bradley has transitioned to center back.

BUSY WEEK: Wednesday's match marks the second of three matches in a busy nine-day stretch for the Sounders. Last Saturday, the Rave Green played the Crew at home to a 0-0 draw. On Sunday, the Sounders play the Portland Timbers at Providence Park in the 100th all-time meeting between the two clubs.
